Puh, so, I know it doesn´t look like it, but I worked on this all week! And finished it today, just a few minutes ago!
I thought I would never get this done... . ^^´ My Goal was simple: Make it as official looking as I possibly could!
Anyway, before anyone comments on this subject, I swear by my bones and my soul that this is NOT traced in any way! This was sketched out on a sheet of paper while I was looking at some Cover Art from Uekawa for reference! So, this was drawn free hand, no tracing or anything like that!
Now that thats out of the way, lets get to the technical side, lineart was done in Flash, basic coloring was also done in Flash aswell, the main coloring and details were done in Photoshop though!
However, getting the lineart right in Flash took the longest, I spend 3 Evenings on that alone, its quite hard even with a tablet to get the lines straight and at the same thickness! :/
Drawing in Uekawa Style was also quite challenging, but then again, its always difficult to emulate someone elses style!
Coloring took its fair share of time aswell, its the same with the drawing itself, it might look simple, but it wasn´t that simple to recreate, .... not to me at least, there are peeps out there that draw like that with closed eyes... that are some lucky fellas!
The Experience was great, it sure has its good points when something is challenging!
